Vita, my mentor and inspiration, was the beacon of adventure and resilience throughout my life. From cross-country train journeys to initiating a venture at 63, her spirit shaped my world. Her name, chosen by me as a toddler unable to pronounce “Abuelita”, became synonymous with strength and adventure. Now, the journey has come full circle, with me caring for the woman who once carried the weight of our world.
